Description
work in progress
In Venice, godwits were people paid to harass a debtor. These people followed the debtor, crying and complaining about not paying their master, always complaining plaintively towards the debtor with the intention of making him uncomfortable and making everyone around him uncomfortable by preventing him from having a life free from his debt.
I thought of this anecdote when I was inspired to write this story, then obviously it became a different thing, but the idea was good.
